Trelleborg is the southernmost town in Sweden, and is historically said to have been a wedding gift from the Danish Royal family to a Swedish Prince in 1257. In medieval times it was predominantly a herring fishing port and quickly became a merchant city, today Trelleborg is an industrial town with industry focused around the Seaport.
